Geoffrey Hulme
Geoffrey Hulme is the Research Director at Ingalls and Snyder. In his role, Geoff works closely with portfolio management teams in their equity research efforts. He originally joined Ingalls in September 2025 as a research consultant.
Geoff has over 30 years’ experience as a fundamentally based investor. He has allocated capital in a variety of environments including institutional funds, a public company, and a venture capital fund. Most recently, Geoff was the CIO for an independent RIA based in Columbus, Ohio.
Prior to that, Geoff served as interim CEO at Innoviva (INVA) from 2018-2021, a NYSE-listed life science company. He joined in the wake of a successful activist campaign and reported to a new board. Today, Innoviva ($1.6B market cap) manages pharmaceutical royalties and a growing portfolio of infectious disease drugs.
He also spent 18 years at Alex Porter’s Amici Capital in various capacities, including Director of Research. While an equity generalist, Geoff opportunistically developed a value-based approach to investing in software and various parts of the internet sector in the wake of the early 2000’s tech meltdown. Inside of Amici, he founded and was the portfolio manager of LightPath Capital LP, which specialized in mid and small-cap tech companies. Geoff began his career as a research analyst at a NYC-based long/short equity hedge fund.
He earned his B.S. in Finance from Villanova. Geoff helps organize an annual stock pitching contest hosted by the Heilbrunn Center for Graham & Dodd Investing at Columbia Business School.
