Aphrodite M. Garrison

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Aphrodite Garrison is a seasoned investment manager who builds portfolios suited to the needs of individuals, families, trusts and small endowments. As a value investor, Dyte seeks out mispriced securities in industries including energy, aerospace, transportation and healthcare. She believes that the ability to buy unpopular securities at a discount to the value of their assets and businesses, and to exercise patience in waiting for a turnaround, is the individual investor’s advantage.

Dyte graduated cum laude with an A.B. degree from Mount Holyoke College, attended Boston University Graduate School of Public Communications and received an M.B.A in Finance from New York University Graduate School of Business. Prior to joining Ingalls & Snyder in 1987, Dyte spent seven years at Mobil Oil Corporation. She became a Director of Ingalls & Snyder in 2002, a Senior Director in 2007 and a Managing Director in 2012.  Dyte is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

Dyte and her husband live in Westchester, where they support a variety of community programs. They are avid hikers and travel to family roots in Europe where they pursue interests in the arts, language studies, and culinary traditions.
